In 3 weeks we will have the boat ready to haul.  Work commitments really limited our sailing opportunities this year.  There is always next year.

We are currently planning the installation of a bow roller and chain locker in the bow of our boat.  We have the roller and have been measuring the bow and the toe rail for size and thickness to determine how we will make the installation.  When we recored the decks 3 years ago, we had the bow done in resin, without core, in anticipation of this project.  I confess, I will be thrilled to get the milk crake of anchor chain out of the salon.

Lee Valley is our supplier of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene that we will use to set the roller just over the height of the toe rail.  We will likely machine a metal backing plate.

It is sad to see the season ending.
