The Sunday of the Labour Day weekend 2002, found the four of us not in much of a hurry. This third day had dawned as beautifully as the previous two and without pig roast to hurry home for, there did not seem to be a reason to rush.
We took advantage of the lovely restaurant at the Port Weller marina and had a long and lovely breakfast. Around 10 AM with beautiful blue skies and a light breeze we began to motor/sail across the Lake Ontario. Over night the large swell had calmed and it was a picture perfect day.
In the distance the annual air show had begun at Ontario place and we watched the spectacle as we headed towards our home port.
We arrived about 3PM and after securing our new lady in her slip we headed for the showers and a late afternoon brunch at the club. All in all, the perfect end to our first voyage aboard Hot Tamale.
